Sketch Club Friday Term 2

Friday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Term 2 including 10 weekly c;asses Friday 2nd of May till 4th of July 2025 The Sketch Club is a fantastic course for teens, offering a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of drawing & sketching. This class is suitable for children aged 10 to 15 years old who show interest in drawing. It is suitable for beginners and more advanced students. Start off by learning the process of drawing with pencils: Basic Shapes, line, tone/shadow, detail, and how to achieve various effects using pencils. This will be done by looking at a simple still life, learning how to use perspective, drawing the figure, the secrets for drawing portraits, and getting really good at using a variety of wet and dry drawing materials such as pencil, charcoal, chalk, ink, pen, and more. Students will learn: * Drawing fundamentals * Portrait drawing * Charcoal drawing of figures/posture/stance * Perspective and architectural drawing * Stippling & drawing of details * Still life and proportions / observation * Animal drawing, illustration coloured ink, and pen You can view artworks created in this course on our Instagram gallery @theartstudiosydney.
