This evening art course is designed for anyone interested in gaining a fuller understanding and appreciation of fine art. Over 6 weeks you will immerse yourself in the experience of making art. With simple attention to perceptual information like colour, line and shape, learning begins to unfold naturally and with joy. Explore composition, rhythm and mark-making.
Students are encouraged to awaken an alternate way of perceiving using observation, intuition and emotion. Classes will explore drawing and painting with a wide range of materials and techniques: acrylic and oil paint, wet and dry drawing materials including ink, pastels and charcoal.
Students are encouraged to work on their own art projects, developing a personal style with the guidance of the artist Osnat Almog. (BA Fine Arts + MA Master of Art)
The atmosphere at The Art Studio will allow you to unwind and wonder away from your everyday life ‘things to do’ and delve into your own creative self. Soft sounds are played at the background, flower essence is in the air, biscuits and tea served in colourful Moroccan tea cups.

If you are interested in furthering your art studies, maintaining a strong visual portfolio of your work is essential. An artist’s portfolio usually consists of around ten artworks which best represent your artistic skills, sensibilities and vision. As an experienced mentor who has spent years working closely with up and coming artists, I can help you develop a professional portfolio according to your own style and the requirements of your desired art program.
Portfolios can be prepared for studies at the National Art School, Collage of Fine Arts, design schools, Sydney Collage of the Arts or any other artistic program.
“The art studio classes have given me the confidence to try many artistic projects and take me from a nervous amateur to an exhibiting artist.” John Vassey
“Osnat has a unique style of teaching. She greets you with a smile and offers freshly brewed herbal tea with chocolate biscuits. Soft music plays in the background enchanting your mind to let down its guard and explore the canvas. I am grateful for her presence in the class for those ‘uh huh’ moments, but I am equally grateful for her hands off approach. I am only an amateur but with every lesson I am learning more. Would I recommend her classes? Yes. Why? – go along and experience it for yourself.” Wairety Amai
