In this unique art class we will focus on finding the essence of your subject matter and illustrating movement with paint. Horses have been explored throughout art history by many artists with painting, drawing and sculpture. We will get inspired by their magnificent structure and fast movement exploring their wildness on our canvas. This is not an anatomy drawing class it is a more abstract approach to capture their wild essence and learn about the process of constructing composition and using paint with freedom.

Life drawing is a great way to practice your sketching skills and develop your vocabulary, The figure is constantly in motion allowing us to engage in a deeper meditative level with our subject matter. This class is guided step by step with drawing exercises to have a fuller understanding of the human body, proportions and composition. With a life model this class is a great opportunity to sketch.

In continuation for last week class we will explore nude painting on canvas. Colour mixing, skin tones and shadows as well as mark making and fluid form will be explored in this class.
All you need is: large canvas (20 X 24 inch 0r 30 X 40 inch) acrylic paint, variety of brushes, image of a nude figure
Shadow , cast shadow , light source are some of the basic principles of drawing and describing objects in space. Let’s look at these basic objects and learn how to render form and volume with tone.
All you need is: A3 papers, pencil, rubber, charcoal
Colour is the foundation for the art of painting. We will explore in depth the theory of colour mixing and balanced harmonies. Create your own colour chart and learn about specific pigments and colour combinations. Great for beginners and advanced.
